The Fifth District of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) represents professional advertising associations and college chapters throughout Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia. We are the regional voice of the advertising industry and the bridge between local chapters and AAF-National. Our mission is to support the well-being of our members and promote the success of the advertising industry in the District through our various programs. We recognize and celebrate creative excellence through the District 5 American Advertising Awards Competition (formerly known as the ADDYs) and create advertising education opportunities through the District 5 National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) and our Scholarship program.

AMERICAN ADVERTISING AWARDS
The American Advertising Awards, also known as the ADDYs, are the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 40,000 entries every year from local ad club competitions. The mission of the American Advertising Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising. Top winners at the local chapter level in District 5 move on to competition at the District level. District winners move on the national competition and are announced at AAF-National's annual Admerica conference.
NATIONAL STUDENT ADVERTISING COMPETITION
The National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) is the premier college advertising competition in the U.S., providing more than 2,000 college students the real-world experience of creating a strategic advertising/marketing/media campaign for a corporate client. Students develop a marketing plan and then pitch their work to advertising professionals at the District, semi-final and national levels. The District 5 NSAC competition takes place each year in conjunction with our annual Leadership Conference.
